No DirecTV? I've been watching it on TVE via the Spanish-language
package. I don't speak any Spanish, but the purty pictures are all
there and that's what counts. And once in a while I can make out enough
words to get the gist of what Pedro Delgado and moto-commentator Juan
Pablo are saying. That other motor-mouth is too much for me though.

Anyway, that was great racing. It's an interesting reversal of the 2003
Vuelta, where Heras chipped away at the ONCE juggernaut little by
little, despite having almost no team support himself, until he finally
blasted to victory ahead of Nozal on the ITT up the Alto de Abantos the
day before Madrid. Now that he has the command of the former ONCE
juggernaut, there seems to be no stopping him in this race. It's also
an interesting counterpoint to this year's Giro, in which the assembled
forces of Lampre-Caffita were never quite able to get the better of the
largely isolated Savoldelli.
