I've been looking around for a local BUG or the like. I'm not a racer, I'm a plodder, so I'm not interested in getting involved with club activities etc. I'd like to do some work on expanding bike route networks (not necessarily bikepaths) and 'normalising' bike use as transport. ANyone know of such a group that's operating in or around Perth?

There are people here in Melbourne who are looking at expanding upon the Wheels of Justice theme as a bicycle user/advocacy group. This is definitely looking at the issue of normalisation of bicycle usage. I don't know to what extent the whole WOJ thing happened in Perth, but it might be worth while looking at this. Hell, there are a few people from Perth who post here, you might even wind up generating a useful nucleus. cfsmtb is probably the one to speak to about this as she'sthe most active and vocal of the Melbourne group.

Hmm been thinking about what Mr Resound mentioned at Goat. Yes I'll post that WoJ discussion paper & see what folks think. Now where was that txt doc...

Ah, the document search. Always a fun thing. I spent ages today looking through textbooks for an article that I absolutely KNEW I'd read, only to eventually remember that it was actually on a website (which I'd bookmarked, thankfully)
On 2005-09-11, Resound (aka Bruce) was almost, but not quite, entirely unlike tea:

I've on many occasions thought that I had seen a figure somewhere that would be useful for my thesis or whatever, and tried to search for that figure, only to come to the conslusion that the data was just a bit *too* high quality, and it must have been a dream. This has happened so many times that I am scared.
Also, who here gets deja vu from their dreams?

This would be the dream that makes absolutely no sense for about 5 years until suddenly the déja vu hits and you're left wondering just exactly how linear time really is?
