  1. Hi all,
I'm considering getting the 2006 Raleigh RC8000 and am looking for any input re Raleigh bikes here in South Africa. What has been your experience with their top of the range bikes? Also in the mixing pot are the Cervelo Soloist and the Giant TCR Comp 1. I'm not really looking to race but want to ride fast, fast being subjective!
    Cheers
    Clive

Budget bikes with good components! If your planning on spending that much i would personally go for something with a bit more pedigree!

  5. Raleigh have a pedigree matched by very few bicycle brands!
I eventually got the Giant TCR1 and am very happy.

Without wanting to upset the apple cart here i think you will find that Raleigh are a spent force in terms of global manufacture and quality. i have no doubt that in the past the were a brand to be reckoned with but that is no longer the case.
