  1. ~ * ~

Hazily lost in a thickening fog ~
    Lackadaisically sprawled, dreaming further,
    After a second round

    Of cocktails,
    More hors d'oeuvres ...

Before she began to wantonly consider
    The Perfect Just Dessert.

    *

After a third round of cocktails,
A charming third array of appealing hors d'oeuvres,
Piggies ~ en ~ Blankie, Beluga caviar,
    And oddly curious crudités,

    Observed Twittering,
Lackadaisically sprawled, of dinner, further dreaming,
Twittering grew ever ~ more edgy, anxious,
    And puckishly annoyed.

Still, as she reclined on her chaise lounge elegantly,
Twittering continued to dream of dinner,
Hazily lost in a thickening fog ~

    Lackadaisically sprawled, dreaming further,
Considering the ingredients of The Perfect
    Just Dessert, none too soon,
    Before too long,

    Twittering shortly began to consider,
Wantonly wondering, if you will, dreaming, scheming
    Shrewdly cunning,
    A very unseemly, for Twittering,
    Notion ~

    The Perfect
    Bloody Murder ..."

    I got Leon a brand-new bone, with a chest full a' booty.

Bill entered the drawing room and noticed that Twittering looked pale
and puckish. "The hell with this" he said, "let's call out for a pizza."

"C is for Capsicum who more than capably
    Laid Twitter's trembling body bare,
Ignited lust, unzipped her jeans, touched her wetness there.

    Methodically, if horizontally,
Capsicum made Twittering whine all day, pathetically,
Left her blithely languorous, weak, and limper,
    Too, while Twitter hungrily,
Romantically, dreamed later of dinner ~

As Twittering reclined on her chaise lounge elegantly,
    Hazily lost in a fog,

    happily dreaming, if lackadaisically,
    Of dinner ...

    During The Hour
Of The Cocktails and The Hors d'oeuvres.

Meanwhile, Capsicum grew ever ~ more maniacal,
Her hitherto mild ~ mannered demeanor
Gone gaily out the window ~ !

    Henceforth,
More imprudent, if impudent, her salacious behavior,
    More shrewdly insightful, daily,
More meaningful, notably inspired, not to mention, unseemly,
Capsicum's wily ways, for direly consequential ,

    Major, her string's chords sounded,
    Her salivating cunning , reverberating
    Vibrato,

    Her canny conniving
    Schemes, themes, and variations...

    Deeply resonant,
Richly complex, reminiscent, one may venture
To reflect, of Beethoven's late string quartets ~
    The Grosse Fugue,

    Playing now
    In The Drawing Room ...

    Abysmal,
    What atrocity ~ ?"

  9. .... & now a word on Maya
    Deren,

    Bud de Mr.
    James Merrill ~

"Rhythm is a defining element of all of Deren's films, it arises from
the play of repetition and variation which is integral to her
    experiments in narrative.

Meshes deploys an innovative style of cutting on action where the
protagonist steps over such disparate terrains as the beach, soil,
    grass and concrete.

The rhythmic drumbeat and the repeated movement highlight her
deliberate progress across these discontinuous spaces. As the central,
consistent element, Ito's soundtrack enables Deren's temporal and
    spatial experimentation.

Rhythm also impacts significantly on spectatorship. The rhythm of the
sound, movement and editing conspire to produce the effect of a trance
    film.

    Meshes of the Afternoon's dream-like mise-en-scène, illogical
narrative trajectory, fluid movement and ambient soundtrack invite a
type of contemplative, perhaps even transcendental, involvement for the
    spectator."
