Sorry to come back to that thread but I was investigating about this
trick in order to find if Ben and Yohann really invented that trick
during the European Muni and Trial Convention in Denmark or not.
Have you ever seen it before?
I call it "Ben Yohann" trick.
I didn't know it was supposed to be called "Seat Whip" (which is,
actually, something else) and so I haven't read that thread.
In december, I read a post from Kapoute who named it Seatwhip probably
refering to this thread. So I had searched for "Seatwhip" and
"Seat_Whip" but not "seat whip"...
For those who haven't seen it yet, you can find that trick at the
beginning of that video : http://vasipaulette.free.fr/Danemark.mpg
_Who_can_land_it?_
Of course, Ben (It is Ben on both pics of that thread)
and Yohann
In another thread, John Foss reported this :
johnfoss said:I remember Peter Holmgren showing me a similar trick that he also hadn't
landed yet. The idea was to do a big hop from a seat drag, flipping the
frame underneath you so you would land with the seat in the opposite
place. In other words, it would be a no-handed hop from seat drag in
front to seat drag in back. I took some pictures of him attempting it
(in the snowy street in front of his house), but he hadn't landed it
yet. He said he had broken a few (Miyata) seats in the process. This
was in November 1983.
As it was a long time ago, is it sure that he has never landed it?
And I found that pic of Yoggi shooted in october (and he call it clock
air). So he may be abble to do it :

And now, other people probably can land it!
