1) Crafty and resourseful people that build their bikes with very little money
2) The ones that can afford the best of the best
3) The tinkerers, the geeks, and the beach cruisier riders as well
4) To all who ride any distance on a regular basis
5) Wave is I fly downhill or pant uphill

As for your mention of Wal Mart please don't buy your bike there unless it is a really good deal.

It is sad that the Wal Marts of the world prosper.

They historically have built up a monster on the backs of the workers.

Well said Linda. Cycling is the greatest pastime of all. I feel sorry for people who feel they have too much dignity to get on bike.

I also feel sorry for the (mostly) guys who need to boost their own prowess by bragging about how they "dropped" some other rider on his high tech, "poseur" bike. That kind of nonsense really puts me off. I say a friendly hello to EVERY rider I pass, whether on a Litespeed or an old rusty Schwinn. I just love to see others out on bikes instead of in cars.
