I spoke to the LBS yesterday and he said that the SL2 are the latest 2005 model and the front hub is slightly lighter. However, some shops are selling 2005 SL's...so I get confused. Is the 2005 model called the SL2? The Mavic website doesn't suggest so...I know that the most recent model (2005) is lighter, but it gets called different things all the time.
As long as I know I'm buying the '05 model, I'm fine.

There are some differences and Mavic does make slight improvements each year.
Best place for the info on current ones is Mavic's website (a link directly to the road range section)
