  1. No, not for me, but Nathan fancies having a shot at racing on a recumbent.
Can any darksiders give me any relevant information, please?

    Cheers, helen s

  2. I submit that on or about Sun, 28 Aug 2005 20:10:08 +0100, the person
known to the court as "wafflycat"
    <waffles*$*A**T*v21net$*££*D*O*T*co*D£$£*O*T*uk> made a statement
(<[email hidden]> in Your Honour's bundle) to the
    following effect:

Maybe sex, drugs and rock & roll will be a better option than selling his
    soul to the darkside.

    :~)

I'm sure the nice Mr Legs Larry will be along soon but you could look at:
    http://www.bhpc.org.uk

Also a few pics of the machines at a typical event I went to last year -
where I got to time Mr Burrows as I just happened to be standing close by:

There seem to be two types of competitor - those who go fast fast fast
    [1] and the others.

[1] which is why I missed Mr.L as he sped past.

I became hooked on bents when races were held on Brighton prom (who
remembers them?), but could never justify one until much much later.

I seem to be getting better - I'm quite pleased with some of my pictures
from the latest Castle Combe event:

I got interested when I read about them on usenet many years ago. Then
I went along to watch a BHPC meet at Herne Hill about 10 years ago, and
loved it. I didn't particularly enjoy my one experience of racing, but
I *do* enjoy watching other people doing it.

Leg it back to Mildenhall today, and hunt around for Mr Burrows of
Windcheatah and Ratcatcher fame ? He usually attends, I've seen him in the
past years, not far from Kevin "D-Tec".

Was speaking with both fine gentlemen yesterday - it was Kevin who brought
up the idea of racing 'bents with Nathan. Indeed, one's own recumbent steed
was purchased from Darth Kevin, who was suggesting to Nathan that he might
want to go down to Darth Kevin's galactic empire and try out some fast
    machines...

    Cheers, helen s

Soon FS: Cervelo Soloist, one careful owner. Reason for sale - he
needs the money to buy a racing bent ;-)

    Beware the siren calls.
How deep are your pockets ? This could make road racing with titanium and
carbon fibre bits look cheap :-).
When I last went to look, Kevin's multidimensional store included an Orbit
Crystal (perhaps the cheapest light-ish machine which might just about race
??), several Kingcycles (with and without fairings and other race bits), a
Speedmachine, a Windcheetah or two, a Ratcatcher, etc..
He also had a new Trice S (the hard-seat shell model) though still in bits
    when I saw it.
