1. Lance said on Larry King, that Jan Ullich could win the TdF, if his was on the Discovery team, training regimen, etc. Lance has always shown respect for Jan's talent. Today I read in a magazine, that insider at Disco says Ullich might come over for 1-2years while Popo matures. What do you think?? Any nugents of truth? I thought I read that Jan would never leave T-Mobile, but they are not taking care of him, and constantly knocking him in the press! I personally think it would be awesome! ( if it's true). And I didn't realize when Jan won in 1997, he was training under Riis. Anyway, question is, would Discovery be able to bring Jan to the team, when he's been at T-Mobil forever? And could the team afford him? Jan even spoke at the Lance's retirement party for crying out loud!

Lance asked Jan about the possibility of coming over to Discovery a while back. This ,as far as I know, was not made public but was hinted at.
Jan has one more year on his contract with T-Mobile and then we will see what happens.

He would never go to EPO-discovery. Why would he go to the outfit that beat him for the last 6 years by cheating. Pigs will fly before Jan goes to discovery!

4. JU's contract is very expensive to buy out, but lasts only through 06. In 07, it would not be impossible for JU to consider moving to DC, although his marketing image is very much tied in in Germany to TM and TM will have strong incentives, for its sponsor, to retain JU.

LA made similar statements re: JU coming to JU at the Ritz celebration party shortly after the TdF win. Bruyneel appears to have made similar statements.

It is not just DC training methods/strategic thinking, but also a ready-built team that is structured to support JU in the TdF. 07 will be among the very last years for the Azevedo/Hincapie/Rubiera/Beltran/Padrnos group. But then JU is around the same age as that group, and 07 could be among his last years as well.

the only disco for Ullrich is discodance club
LOL
and some amphetamines too (all in all it was a ridiculous story)

7. When JU left Tmobile for Bianchi some years back I was hoping he'd choose CSC instead.... Still do. Unfortunately a certain Mr. Basso is there. Too many chiefs.

Pity - I think Jan is being hindered by Tmobile rather than helped...
