Anyone have a Fix for a Talon Seat Post slipping?

  1. I have to tighten My seatpost clamp bolt very tight and when I come back from a 5 minute ride the post slides down 1/3 of an inch.
    Has anyone had this situation and cured it ??

  2. How much grease do you have on the post and in the seat tube? My friend a mechanic in the LBS said most people overgrease their posts. He recommends just a very light coating to prevent electrolosis. Try cleaning both post and seat tube and regrease. I don't know Talon, if it's Carbon then it's not greased at all.

  3. I have a Talon and currently I'm not using the aero seatpost. I'm using another round seatpost by Stealth (I think that's the brand).

    Anyway, I don't like to have to overtighten the seatpost. My LBS guy put a piece of clear Scotch tape and it helped did the trick.
