I can't find many good plain jerseys. I've been riding in poly mix t-shirts, mostly. I think I'm going to go with mountain bike jerseys. They aren't so blasted tight across the chest/shoulders either (no, I am not fat). Actually, one of the cool things about cycling gear is that I finally HAVE TO wear an XL in something! (the jersies, not the shorts... that's still M).

As I wrote above. what works for me in dry heat CA is an old cotton t-shirt on the smallish side, with sleeves cut off into a tank top and bottom cut up to waist. air blows cross skin, cotton absorbs then dries quickly...and saved money goes into hardware I don't need. Sounds really great.Gee,i never heard of cotton drying quickly.Maybe you found something all the tdf riders need more info on.I dont remember seeing any of them riding that way.Ya think theres a reason for that?

I imagine you've bought your share of "slick" stuff. As for cotton, ever ride in a humid climate? Cotton would leave you wrapped in a wet rag!

Well i'm 50,not one billboard on any of my 10 jerseys except the brand name.My post was saying in a nice way,cotton is dumb and cut off sleves looks stupid.

Sorry to be offensive Shok...we olde fartes should stick together. Appearance is relative to the eye of the beholder (and wearer), cotton works fine for me despite the bike clothing makers' self interested marketing...........and whatever gets each of us on the road comfortably and satisfyingly (and within our budgets) seems fine. You might agree that there is far more pretentiousness to cycling today than whatever "golden days" we can both reach back to...improved technology notwithstanding...tho' I still swear by my Mavic retrofriction shifters.
