    Not if the car was in a queue (how embarassing, to return and find the rest of the queue

    First, you often don't know when you join a queue how long it will take to clear.

    Secondly, it may not be a good idea to just abandon your car on a main road and wander off for a few
    hours, especially if it is a motorway or clearway where parking is not permitted.

    This guy was apparently parked up in an industrial estate, where they were just within
    hearing range.
