anyone here doing the ride next sunday? I'm going to attempt the long and hilly one - think I'm number 116. Not sure how I'm going to be able to keep my "tag" away from my steel framed Thorn as per their instructions.
Wonder if T-mobile would still have sponsored the event had they known that their attempt to buy O2 was going to go pear shaped!? Not that it matters now..
The longer route looks very similar to the shorter Phil and Friends one.

let me know your number and I'll look out for you. I've a silvery-blue Thorn Brevet, flat bars, pannier holder and am Q slow but spin at about 85-90 to get me most places without getting off. We shall see, we shall see....

Arthur
The start is very similar Arthur, as there are few ways to get from Tapton to West Yorkshire.
It changes after Langsett to loop over Emley Moor, and whereas P&F hit Chunnel, Chinley and Rushup the TOB route swings left onto Sanke pass and then back into Sheffield.
