  1. On Nepean at the junction near Elsternwick (can't remember the name of the road) and there's an old chap crossing with the pedestrian lights. He's not as sprightly as he used to be and takes the full cycle to get accross.

I smile at him and say ``Morning''. He looks at me and says ``You'll not be worried about the price of petrol then.''

Now that made me chuckle :-)

There's a grumpy old guy I pass on the bike path along the river every morning. He wanders along muttering and when he sees bike riders, his volume increases and he directs whatever he is saying at the rider. On Monday I had to drive into work and I was sitting at traffic lights waiting for a ped to cross. It was the grumpy old guy, wandering along muttering to himself. He peered into the car and saw me. But I was not in my cycling gear, I was in a suit and tie. And in a car, not on the bike. He looked puzzled but then recognition dawned. So he gave me a serve for not being on my bike. "Where's ya f***in' bike, ya f***in' **** in ya F***in' car.........."

Does that make him a cycling advocate, or wot?

    At me f***in' house! 😄

Had to go and get X rays and ultrasound of shoulder injury mid afternoon so riding was very inconvenient. The shoulder injury is a "good" shoulder injury - it doesn't stop me riding. Looks like it doesn't need surgery so that won't stop me riding either. But I am going to get better acquainted with some corticosteroid injections. Owww.

There's this crazy guy in my town that rides on the country roads ,
usually late at night in freezing weather when any normal person would
be inside watching TV with a tinny. He wears wierd cycling clothes and
often shouts and swears at cars that get too close to him. Guess who
    that rider is 😉
