Frames (again!)

I'd suggest you talk to a quality custom builder like Llewellyn or Paul Hillbrick. They'll mix and match steel tubes if necessary to give you exactly what you want. Catch is, I guess, that you need to be able to accurately describe exactly what it is you want. Easier said than done. Catch 2 is it'll cost you from about $2500 or more if you want to go flash with the paint. Big positive is that it will fit you correctly and will be unique .... and don't think for a moment that steel means heavy because the better tubes will build a frame below 1100 gm .... with good wheels and D/Ace you can easy go below 8 kg. I'm guessing that, if you like the 'comfort' of your Tomassini, you'd hate the vibration of most aluminium frames. Can't speak for carbon or Ti but I've never heard anyone complain about them ..... good sign ? or just that if you've paid a motza for a Litespeed or a C40 you ain't ever gonna admit it's less than perfect ?

for my money...it sounds as if you already have a nice frame.

Ah ....yeah ... good point. Most people, including me, would kill for a Tomassini. If by chance you ride a 54 top tube, wanna do a deal for a Cannondale CAAD4 ????
