I've been training on my i-magic for three weeks (haven't got a road bike yet - just using an old one for turboing) and wanted to see how I'm doing so I set up a flat course of 10.42 miles and set about seeing how fast I could do it.
It came out at 29:46, passing the 10 mile stage at 28:22. I stayed in the 53-17 gear (lightweight that I am) and averaged a cadence of 93 rpm. Average power was 169w.
Obviously I can use that as a benchmark time and do the same course another time under the same conditions.
Anyway, I know this isn't *real* cycling but I wondered how close to reality that might be?

I'm unsure of the calibration and repeatability with that product but given your reported power, assuming average aerodynamics and 85kg bike + rider weight ..... plus a few other defaults from www.analyticcycling.com and NO wind ....

Thanks for that rmur, that's interesting. Tacx do claim that the i-magic is as close to real life cycling as a turbo trainer can be.
