My crappy KHS300 flite needs new cranks.. so im gonna change the chainring, what do you guys know of quality of Sora Cranks?

However theres a choice for the sizing either:
170, 30/42/52 or
175, 30/42/52
I understand the last three numbers are the chainring sizes, but what is the first number? the size of the Bottom Bracket?
The first number is the length of the crank arm. 170mm or 175mm. A longer crank can give you more leverage when you push on the pedals, but 5mm? It's not going to make that big a difference. The Sora's OK, I had one on my last road bike, but I always noticed they had a bit of flex in the crank arms. The Tiagra chainset is only a couple quid more, but might be a bit more stiff. It depends on how serious you are with your riding. A bit of flex never bothered me personally. Hope that helps.
