  1. Daughter KJ set off this morning on her first 'solo' cycle camping trip.
    Its a funny feeling watching someone who you have been nurturing
    undertake an independent expedition.
    Although she's only heading into the lanes of Berkshire and Oxfordshire,
    it feels even worse (as a parent) than when she disappeared off with a
    tent to the World Scout Jamboree in Thailand for nearly a month. That
    was 'organised'.

    Well at least she phoned as promised.
    The tent is set up, pasta cooked on the Trangia, and 50+ miles covered
    with no mishaps.

    I can sleep tonight in peace :-)

    Isn't it great the independence cycling gives kids.
