I was wondering if anyone can help me put together a chart with the major
low carb diets and the major differences between them.
This is what I have so far:

Anything you can add would be a great help!

If you search for the various LC diets on the Atkins website, you can copy
their comparisons.

Sure, plenty on ASDLC can help.

If the link had been to a table or a file it would have been
a reasonable way to start a discussion. The link was to a
bulletin board so the posting was spam.
the only thing that I found there was comparison between atkins diet bars
and others ...

Sorry, this is the direct thread:
http://www.lowcarbbulletinboard.com/diet/showthread.php?t=91
Or if you could just reply here it would be OK also.
Basically I would like to get a compare for each phase of each of the diets.

Just about every time you've posted to this newsgroup, it's either
been to solicit members for your board, or you've posted some
superficial one or two line top-posted comment* just so you could
squeeze in the board links. It's pretty obvious -- so don't think
you're fooling anyone.
*or replied to posts that are several months old, or double posted the
same messages.
Most people are going to be a lot less likely to want to join your
board if you continue to use this approach.

Do a keyword search under "Zone" or "South Beach" and there is stuff.
The actual point of my post is that comparative listings of the low carb
diets are common on the internet.
The copying part was a bit of humor, since your idea was copying something
that has been done many times before. Obviously, Atkins would have rights
to their stuff....

That is a good link. However, they forgot to list Dr. Herman Taller's diet
book. "Calories Don't Count" from 1961.

While both are spam, I'm a lot less bothered by the honest
up-front messages that ask for new members on the board.
I'm active on one such (Escribe) so I don't mind learning
of others.

Agreed.
A rosetta-stone-like table comparing plans is a good idea.

I'm having a majorly senior moment here, but there was a woman who used to
be a contributor here who wrote a book that had that sort of
cross-the-board comparison. I have the book somewhere around (but it's in
a box so I don't expect to find it until the next time I move - unless I
just move the boxes). Anyone remember? I think her first name was Laura
and she was/is a nurse.

I know it's bad form to follow up my own post, but Dana Carpender in
"How I gave up my low-fat diet and lost 40 pounds" also gives a good
comparison of Plans.

You're briliant! I was conflating the two (I love that word and so rarely
get to use it <g>😉. That should be helpful info for the OP and anyone else
who wants that sort of comparison.
Thanks,

How can I put a link to a table? A file would be very dangerous and I am
not sure how useful it would be in that state?
The link is to the link on the bulletinboard discussing the issue.
Does that constitute as spam? Just looking for help.

Tables can be written directly in HTML, so tables in that form
are not a virus risk and are very usefull. Surf the web a bit
and you're bound to encounter tables.

I trim spam links and I didn't trim yours.
Doing a rosetta stone table to compare plans is a noble undertaking.
