  1. Hello,

I was wondering what differentiates various terms, like tempo runs,
    interval runs, fartleks?

Could I simplify it a bit by running repeats at various durations and
    paces? For example,

    20' duration at 7:30 pace,
    10' at 7:20,
    4' at 7:00,
    2' at 6:30.

    Thanks.

Actually that sounds a bit like the kenyans do their daily runs -
progressively faster from a very slow start. But what you suggest is
probably far too intense all at once for most people.

I was wondering what differentiates various terms, like tempo runs,

A paced run done at a consistently hard pace or steadily increasing
pace. For example, during 5k or 10k training, a 5mi tempo run might be
starting at a comfortable but faster-than-normal pace and increasing pace by
    :05/mile.

    interval runs

Any speed workout where the structure is divided into distances or timed
segments. E.g. 10x400m, with a rest period in between. Some people stand
and rest, others give only jogging for rest.

    fartleks?

A run done with short sections of increased paced mixed in. I'm told
fartlek is a scandinavian word (Finnish?) that translates to 'speed play'.
Works well with a small group of similarly-conditioned runners, who take
turns pushing the pace for a duration of their choosing. You can also do
    them yourself.

Sure. This interval workout is what I call a 'ladder'. Done by
    distance, I've done ladders such as 200m, 400m, 600m, 800m, 600m, 400m,
    200m.

    It's a Swedish word.

  6. d-1 =1
    d-2=4
    d-3=9
    or
    maxs 2 ½ ×d=

    d1=1
    d-2=5
    d-3=7½

    bike ride =d-3

saw the formula for mesauring distance from radiation or light thru a
prism.and computer grafts images. like gravity.
in a book yesterday and was wonder if could be broken down in to the
    runners or riders d=distance measures.

probe not the same measureing speed.
X au =240,000 mph or light speed
to Y 8 m.p.h. easy pace try oh in a cops road radar scan other day.Z
    haven't ran in a few y.just biking now. 10.12mph.

speed for bike on a stationary bike .
found that a few fast peddles keep the spin on the 1 tire at above 30
    m.p.h. or r r r r really fast at 40 m.p.h.
evan if real roads take the warm up stage at 10 to 16 m.p.h.
my dirt roads and exter sand and gravel to raise 12 to 15 inchs. and
