What size helmet should I get? (Can't try any on...)

  1. OK so I have no way of trying on a new helmet, but I need one.

    I really like the looks of the Giro Pneumo and Atmos helmets, and I see Performance has 'em at pretty good prices.

    Here's the issue...my head measures 23.5" around, just above the ears/eyebrows. Giro makes the change from Medium to Large at 23.25".

    Going by the numbers, I technically fall into the Large size. But would I be better off getting the Medium, because it's only .25" smaller than my head size?

    I'm guessing Large...again, I have NO WAY of trying on the helmets.

  2. Giro helmets are very adjustable. I would go with the large since that is what they recomend. There is basicly no weight difference between Medium and Large. If you bike in the winter and wear a hat the large will also be adaptdable to your winter head wear.
