    Nope.

And if you paid six or eight hundred for such a bench, it would still be
[censored]. Anything that has a leg estension on it is too high to do bench or
incline presses safely. Besides, leg extension have a lot of potential for
injuries. And most folks who love those preacher benches usually end up
    hurting their elbows.

I have designed and built a big bench that incorporated these things into
them. Even making the thing extra heavy duty and designing the hell out of
it, it still was a dismal failure. The swiss army knife approach is not a
good design criteria for gym equipment. Cheap knock offs from china will not
    work better.

The absolute limit of trickery in a bench is to have a flat - incline combo.
Put any more function in there, performance degrades greatly. Turning an Ok
bench into a peice of [censored].

Get yourself a good incline and/or flat bench. Or a combo. It doesn't pay to
buy [censored]. These are tools. And just like any tool, you should buy good ones.

  3. ..... and you back up your opinion with reason!

let me rephrase the question, your honor.

anyone know of a $200 or less flat/incline bench that's any good?

    thanks again,

    mike

I would go to an exercise equipment store. I have seen good flat benchesfor
a $100. But a good incline, flat combo usually runs from $250 to $350.

Stay away from the junk sold in mass outlets. Make sue it fits you.

If you want to buy online, New York Barbells has a fairly good line that
they have made for them in china. Good prices. And a good variety to choose
from. A lot of the equipment, not the weights, is free shipping. Just try
to stay away from the cheapest stuff.

And make sure your bench is not a super combo thing. That drives the price
    up and the quality down.

Something like this may meet your criteria.

I assume that you have a power rack, right?

  5. I never did leg extensions, they just feel like they would injure me
    someday.
Anybody have anything good to say about leg extensions?
