My headset is loose due to an ovalised head tube. I have an MTB. Can anyone recomend a headset that locates further into the tube (last one didn't go that far into tube hence "ovalisation"😉 or an oversived one if it exsists or any other suggestions (apart from getting a new frame!).

You need the KING steelset that extends 1 inch into the top and bottom of the frame. There are special installation considerations and it may not fit your frame. It is also pricey ($150+).

Another option ,assuming the HT is adequate diameter deep enough, and there is enough material on the end where the problem is, is to cut or face off the problem material.
