Anyone here riding a 2005 Giant TCR ? I just got a wireless Sigma1600 computer from totalcycling.com and I can't get it fit. The rubber straps provided do not hold the computer flush onto the oversized bars and likewise the sensor does not cope well with the flat-aero nature of the fork. I'm probably going to off load it on ebay and try again.
The TCR is a popular bike, so someone out there must have a computer on it (preferrably wireless, but not a fight deck) with some feedback/opinions.

Spin the bracket on the underside of the mount and stick it on the stem... works for my '05 TCRc1 using a wired BC1600.... as for the wheel sensor on the Ksyrium spokes.. drill it out a little.. that should allow it to be mounted and turned a little towards the fork mount...

Mavic make a magnet specifically for the Ksyriums, you could try that. If you want to spend a bit more on your computer (and get far too much information about your ride) you could try a Polar s720/725 or even a 520. Their brackets fit the TCR's bar perfectly and use a fastening technology called cable ties ;-)

I ended up using black electrical tape to hold on my sensor. It looks better, is more aero and is more secure than the original setup.

When I got a Sigma for my TCR1, the bloke at the shop installed it and swapped the magnet for one designed for blade spokes; the sensor needed a longer rubber band, which he also came up with, and the clearance between the two is fine.
I don't have much sympathy for people who bypass bike shops to save a few $ online, then complain about installation problems.

Yesterday I got a call from a bike shop that isn't opening until 10 Sep, the guy heard I had a shoe problem, and has offered to source some from his suppliers early, and I can have them at cost, delivered within a few days... options are Sidi, Carnac or Pearl Izumi.

This one isn't actually on Park Rd but rather one of the side streets off it; haven't seen the loc but think it's on the soccer field side? Anyway it's Peleton Cycles. And a cafe inside it too!
