  1. Black bean enchiladas and a simple salad of green leaf lettuce
(thirty-nine cents a head at the Berkeley Bowl), my own (!) tomatoes,
and a lemon cucumber. Pics at
    http://www.livejournal.com/users/serenejournal/421306.html -- it was
very very yummy, but we managed to save some for our wife, who is up
north tonight. We are saints. Well, I am. Maybe I should take a
picture of how much is left to keep James honest. :-)

Crash and I are both drooling! They look wonderful. 🙂

Is there an organizational chart of your family anywhere? I'm having a
    hard time keeping up. <G>

*giggle* I made one at one time, but then Carin started dating someone
with lots of partners and I gave up. :-)

Let's see: James and Carin have been married for 15 years or so. I
came along about two and a half years ago. I had recently gotten
together with another partner, Guy, who lives with his partner, Carol.
Carol's partner, Betty, lives in the house behind their place. I have a
    girlfriend in Toronto who --

Oh, never mind. :-) I usually just say I have two husbands, a wife, and
a girlfriend. Or, if that's too much, I just say "Yeah, I'm a hippy
    freak."

ObFood: We were craving something sweet, and grapes weren't gonna do
it, so we went to Safeway (because our usual store closes at 8). James
got a donut, which he seemed to enjoy. I got a package of two
creampuffs from their bakery. I swear I will never do that again.
Carin gets the rest -- two creampuffs minus one bite -- because all I
can taste is the preservatives. Next time I want creampuffs, I'll have
Carol pick some up at Costco.

    Thanks!

I am arranging my life so that I have more time at home to putter around
my place and cook more good food. For a while, I've been too busy to
really relax and make a home for myself, and it really affects my
    wellbeing.

Good for you! We all need to do that.

I'm missing something. You're a vegan and yet your pic has a caption
that says "cheesey goodness"? Howz that work? Do you scrape off the
goodness and only eat the black beans?

I'm not a vegan. I used to be (and was lacto-ovo for 20 years before
that), but I've been eating meat/dairy/eggs on and off for almost three
    years.
