Does anyone know of any good mtb riding in or near Yosemite Park? I will
be in the area next week and would like to get in some riding off road if
possible.

Mammoth is about 30-40 minutes away from Yosemite's gate at Tioga Pass.
Don't know about anything West of the Park.

_ There are a lot of logging road opportunities before you get
into the park on the west side. I've no idea whether that meets
your standard of good mtb riding. Take the turn off towards Hetch
Hetchy and pick a likely dirt road.

What about singletrack? Fireroads are probably NOT what the OP has in mind.
Check the listings for southern Sierrra, and Kern Co. I just remember this
guy and his site.

not a whole lot to choose from, but
http://mtb.live.com/mtb-norcal.html is a good resource
more specifically, the Bass Lake Trails are good (if 50 miles from the
Valley is in your range):

There's definitely some good stuff around Bass Lake, 007 is a blast. I
haven't ridden it in 10 years so I have a feeling it's probably overrun with
monkeys.

Well thanks to those of you who provided information. I am unfortunately on
a tight schedule so making a long drive will not be an option, at least this
trip. I guess I could take my cross bike and do some training rides on the
logging roads.
You folks have a good one.
