it's very hard to do this now a days.
packet and wristband must be picked up (w/photo ID)
by the orig. registered participant...It can be done...but it is tricky.
-
It actually isn't tricky at all. All you have to do is have the
registration transfered over by the people running the race. I did it
last year. It does cost an extra $25 bucks to transfer the think,
though. Taht's the only catch.-Z

The Chicago Triathlon allows the transfer (including sale) of entry
slots, but the deadline was July 1st.http://www.chicagotriathlon.com/act/change.htm
About possible "tricky" methods, don't do them. If you are caught you
can be banned from triathlon and if you are injured while racing, you
won't be insured. -
Banned? I think you mean barred. The penalty is up to a year (section
3.5), so it /can/ be less than that. Also, the insurance that is
provided by USAT and even non-sanctioned races is not something to rely
on. There are numerous cases of lack of proper coverage being available
by race-injured individuals. Best to have other forms of coverage if you
plan on wrecking ;-)-Andrew
