Question about helmets

Try them both on and buy the one that fits the best. I use the Atmos because it fits my head better than the other helmet brands I can get my hands on. Its a great helmet, IMO, and keeps wind flowing through quite well.

unless they've changed design, a giro won't feel/fit right if your bell is a good fit. here again, unless they've changed, a giro will fit a round head, and a bell will fit better on a more elongated or oval head. I wear a bell, a giro doesn't fit me even though they are sister companies.

Also, you may want to try-on the Specialized Decibel. I purchased one this past weekend and I really like the fit.

I tried on both a Giro Atmos and a Bell Sweep and both fit well. I went with the Bell Sweep becasue I liked the blue color design and the price was better. If you are from the U.S. and choose the Bell Sweep you will be going against the trend of people wanting to be like Lance Armstrong by wearing a Giro Atmos and riding a Trek bike!

I know when I bought my Atmos, the first thing that went through my head was "Damn, now I'll be just as fast as Lance just because I wear the same helmet he does..." Get real. Buy the helmet that fits the best. If they both fit well, pick whichever you like better for whatever reasons you like better. Afterall, I'm sure southwind wanted to be just like Basso when he bought his Sweep... 🙄 🙄 🙄 🙄 🙄 🙄

Lol, what an idiot. Who said anything about the helmet making you faster?

i tried both the atmos and sweep on. the sweep seems to fit all the way around my head where the atmos didn't apply the same pressure everywhere.

i bought the sweep from nashbar for $89 and just rode 300 miles over the weekend w/it. exceptionally comfortable! very cool also. i could feel the breeze cooling my noggin. def the best helmet i've ever worn!!!
