Kaiser doctor dies while mountain biking
    By Times-Herald staff

Howard Schwartz, Kaiser Permanente Medical Center-Vallejo's emergency room
director, died Saturday morning while mountain biking with a friend on Mount
    Tamalpais.

A spokesperson at the Marin County Coroner's Office confirmed that Schwartz, 48,
was riding his bicycle when he died but declined to provide further details
pending an investigation. An autopsy report is not yet available.

Kaiser Emergency Department Manager Fawn McCloud said Schwartz suffered a heart
attack and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Schwartz is survived by his wife and two young sons. A service will be held
today at 10 a.m. at Congregation Rodef Shalom in San Rafael, Roberts said.

  2. It doesn't matter who or what you are, what you claim or don't claim, whether
you're totally for real or a bad joke that's gone on for too long. The fact
that you have posted messages where you take delight in another person's
pain, suffering, and death, and then use it in a perverse manner in a
pathetic attempt to promote your own personal agenda is despicable and the
product of a sick mind. You are lower than tubeworm [censored] and deserve every

Subject's name blanked out of respect for family

    June 29, 2005

Hiker's death ruled a heart attack
MOUNT MCLOUGHLIN -The mountain climber whose body was found last weekend on
Mount McLoughlin died of a heart attack, and not head trauma as originally
    believed, officials said Tuesday.
An autopsy performed Monday determined J. V. *******, 54, of Beaverton,
sustained non-fatal head injuries in a fall, Klamath County sheriff's
officials said in a news release.

Evidence appeared to show that ******* died of injuries suffered when he
struck a boulder after he fell and slid across an ice and snow field,
    officials said.

Jackson and Klamath county search teams began looking on June 16 after a
friend reported ******* had not returned as expected from a climbing
    expedition on Mount McLoughlin.

Klamath County Sheriff Tim Evinger last week suspended the search, saying
all reasonable efforts to find *******'s body had been exhausted.

******* was discovered late Friday on the mountain's south slope by M****
D***, a friend who decided to continue hunting for the Beaverton man after
the official search had ended, police said.

The autopsy was done at the request of *******'s family and the Jackson
    County district attorney, officials said.

  4. Well known and much abhored Vike Mandevan died Tuesday while typing at a
rapid pace on his home computer. He suffered a major stroke which caused
him to be able to type with only one finger, leading to great frustration
    and eventual heart failure.

The cause of his death has absolutely nothing to do with typing, or usenet,
or ..., well, you get the picture. Emergency medical staff were unable to
get to Vike in time to revive him, as they were not permitted to operate
    wheeled vehicles anywhere near him.

Vike is remembered by all the other nasty little folks who live under the
bridges of Usenet. He was indeed a "legend in his own mind".

Nice, Mike, real nice. Lets hope that when one someone you love dies
that someone posts it over usenet as an example of what a sick,
    destructive, selfish person they were.

Oh, and the subjective words sick and selfish would be substantiated by
the facts, I suppose. Let the facts speak for themselves, I've heard
you say that plenty of times before.

Just another example of a self-proclaimed "scientist" that doesn't

methodology, who spends the majority of his day trolling in a group

Why not work it the other way and actually say this stuff to the guy's

For one the newspaper is reporting news...that's their job, informing the
community of happenings around them. You on the other hand are "flaunting"
this poor mans death by posting it and gaining satisfaction that it supports
your cause. I normally don't bring myself down to your level by submitting
to your nonsense but this is simply wrong, and like I said before, it's not
me you need to be concerned of....you'll explain these actions later.
