Take it easy on the newbie...I'm here for some road bike suggestions.
I know there are probably tons and tons of "what bike should i buy" threads, and I'm sure you're sick of answering them, but everybody has their own needs when it comes to the correct bike and that's what I'm hoping you all can help me with.
I know basically what i want...I just don't know what to buy.
58/59cm decent group set (shimano 105 or like) lightweight reliable $700ish range (give or take a little)
From the looking I've done, would my best bet be finding a lightly used road bike? I've found a few on ebay that look to be decent...but buying used always worries me. Are there any new bikes out that fit all of my criteria? I don't need a Pro level bike...but i want a quality product.

My mistake. Now that i look more closely this seems to be a mountain biking only section. Can a moderator either delete this thread or move it to a section in which my question can be addressed?
