In the battle of Lance vs LeMond, I predict that Lance will slap LeMond one last time by winning the tdf by the smallest margin ever, erasing LeMonds victory as the closest ever. He will even slow down to do it.

In the battle of Lance vs LeMond, I predict that Lance will slap LeMond one last time by winning
the tdf by the smallest margin ever, erasing LeMonds victory as the closest ever. He will even slow
down to do it.

Lance will NEVER compare to Greg. Lemond won numerous races and the Tour. Armstrong shows up and
wins just the tour because there was no competition for two or three years. Ullrich's back and Lance

Lance is stronger than Lemond was IMHO, but I think overall LeMond was a better all around rider,
and will always be more of a Legend/Pioneer of the sport for North America. He was a more hardcore
rider than Lance. No specific dieting, or sccientific training, just stuffed his face with ice cream
and mexican food, and kicked ass in racing.

What do you call the Tour of Switzerland, GP du Midi Libre, Dauphine Libere (for some recent wins by
LA in something other than the Tour de France)?
Did you watch Stage 15, when Ullrich had NO answer to Lance's counterattack on the final climb to
Luz Ardiden?
To say there was no competition for the past 2-3 years is to show great ignorance and grave
disrespect for the race. Every year, there have been bigmouths who say they're gonna take out Lance
this year, and even bigger mouths in rbr who believe them and spout turds such as the post above,
and every year they've been wrong.

P.S. Not that I wish to take anything away from LeMond, who is surely one of the most talented
riders ever.

Take a look at his book with Kent Gordis and you will see that Lemond was quite scientific about
his training.

Greg was _very_ scientific about his training. He was also very careful about his diet. In fact,
although I like Greg more than Lance, I think that Lance is a much more human character than
Greg. Lance races because he is pursued by his demons. Greg raced because he wanted to be rich.
And it worked.
