Directly: no experience with Performance roof racks

Indirectly: everything else branded Performance is subpar. Would you trust your bike - and your
car - to something that is, statistically, a half-ass product? Get a Yakima setup for the extra
    $50-100 bucks.

Chris (2 Raptors on the new Outback...and don't make me drag out the "half-ass" case study)

  3. The Performance rack is fine. Performance does not actually manufacture much of anything that has
the Performance name. Its contracted out and printed with the performance name. Performance bike
computers are made by Vetta, Performance Topo pedals are Wellgos. Sure the Yakima is a better rack,
and you can get luggage, ski, snowboard, and kayak, but if it will fit your car and hold your bike
securely, go for it. By the way, I own the Yakima and love it, my riding buddy owns the Performance
rack, and I do not worry putting my Yeti on it. Good Luck

I put one of their roof racks on new car eight years ago, left it on for seven years, used it
several times/week, sold it with the car last year.

No problems at all in the whole time. And the bars are the same shape/size as Thule, so you can use
    Thule ski, kayak, sailboard carriers.

    Cheers,

    -Andrew
