MBA just got word from Santa Cruz that John Waddell regained conciousness yesterday. The team ITS/Santa Cruz rider had been in a coma since his crash at the Mt St, Anne World Cup. Reportedly, he can answer short questions and his memory is pretty good. Waddell's mother went to check on the Pro DH racer at the hospital and found him sitting up, eating soup--the first time he has eaten since his crash three weeks earlier at. John faces a long recovery but, according to his mom, he is 100% better. Good news all 'round.

That's really good to hear. My thoughts and prayers have been with him. He's an awesome rider. I saw him last year ride through Yardsale at Mount Snow like he was on rollercoaster rails. Sooooo smooth! Just bought me one of these hjchelmets.comoff clx4.effect static.htmlOpen ↗ in red. I understand John was wearing a MX helmet when he crashed and also per your suggestion Slack.

Awesome...that's good to hear! They really can take much more of a beating than any highend bicylce helmet, and less expesive too. I think I picked up my M7 for something like $125 on sale. Mine has little paint chips and nicks on it from crashes, but is still in perfect (structurally) shape, plus the removal liners/pads are really nice for washing.
