Cycling Shoes

they do come in widths, try the nike ones those usually are wider. ( i ride sidi's tho)

I ride Sidi shoes, specifically the Sidi Zeta Mega. They have wide sizes and call their wide sizes Mega as a part of the model name. A check of bike sites like performance bike, nashbar or supergo should point you to other brands that have wide sizes.

I have a wide foot and was steered to the Shimano R-151 road shoe in a wide width. After six (6) months of using the shoe, I have come to the conclusion that it's not wide enough for my foot. I experience cramping on the outside of my feet.

When considering shoes, I was told to steer away from the Sidi wide widths because it was felt that the European shoes were narrower, even in the wide width.

Does anyone have input on what manufacturer makes the widest wide road shoe?

The SIDI Shoes come in a few different widths. There mught be a few others but i can;t be sure since i am a SIDI rider.

I ride time RXS Carbon pedals with Nike Lance II shoes and I must say, they are the best cyucling shoes that you will ever buy! I am unsure if they come in widths or not? They are relatively wide. I am sure if you shoot Trek trekbikes.comtrekbikes.comOpen ↗ or nikecycling.comnikecycling.comOpen ↗ they would be more than happy to help you out!

I need EEEE (4E) widths and my Sidi Genius Megas are perfect.

I think the Shimanos and Carnacs are generally the widest. I have razor blade feet and go with the Sidi narrow.

From my experience, I'd list shoes like this, from wide to narrow:

1. Specialized Carbon Pro (too wide for me)
2. Sidi Mega Genius 5 (just right)
3. Pearl Izumi Vapor
4. Nike [censored]...er....stuff (Poggio and the Lance shoe.......toooo narrow)
5. Side Genius 4 (toooo narrrow)

From trying many shoes Time shoes are quite wide as are Northwaves. All too wide for me as I use Sidis.

And there is further disparity in sizing. I am a 43 in Sidi, 44 in most other things.

Same with motorbike boots - 43 in Sidi, 44 in almost everything else.

A small annoyance in a generally decent world I know but it niggles!
