  1. I don't know if this is a good place to ask, but I am looking for an older
Pinarello or Calnago (58-60) lugged steel track bike. I looked on ebay and
will continue, but is there anyone other places to look? Links or another
    newsgroup?

    Thanks for any help.

There is an email list called "Classic Rendezvous". I have a history
with this list - was kicked off, was invited to join again and refused
to do so - life's too short to deal with [censored] when you don't have to
    (and all that).

But the list may be of some service to you in looking for this kind of
bike, so I'm mentioning, if not recommending, it.

    🙂

  5. The problem now with the Classic Rendezvous is that if you post
anything on that site you end up with scam artists emailing you for ten
    months or more afterwards.

I had an old Grand Sport group that I thought someone might want and
posted it there. I never got one legitamate email about it but perhaps
    several hundred scam artists.

So be VERY careful on that group and don't buy anything that doesn't
    sound right.

Here's a link to the site associated with the email list, for anyone
interested. If you get in touch with Dale, the list owner, don't blame
whatever happens on me, please. I've already said what I think of him
as a list administrator (he's probably a nice guy otherwise but I
    wouldn't know).

I don't believe that the forsale column remains on Classic Rendezvous and I
suspect everyone else was having the same problem I had.

A funny thing about that site is that they don't have Gary Fisher listed!
That's sort of like having a website about the early aviators and leaving
    out Glenn H. Curtiss.
