  1. How does one create/use a "spam midden" in google groups?

  2. The most effective thing with google groups is to use a quasi-anonymous
or anonymous email system, such as a hotmail account.

Whether or not you ever check the email account afterwards is optional,
but I check mine regularly, and see very little trash get past the spam
    filter.

Good idea. When I used it, which is rare, I actually post with my real
live Gmail account. Seems Google does an unbelievable job filtering out
the chaff. Can't remember getting spammed in months.

My email address is real but appears fake. I only rarely get spam on
    that address.
