And I don't have anyone to nominate for July Dumbass of the year.
Calistus doesn't count IMO because that's totally intentional.
This year has been head and shoulders above previous years for decent
contributions from the summer folk as far as I can tell.
We've stayed on topic once again, with massive restraint on my part and
I'd guess lots of others, I'm really impressed with some of the people
who've been contributing this Tour. I hope they hang around for the
rest of the year and become regulars. Even the hate/worship Lance stuff
has been minimal this year to the betterment of the group. I sincerely
hope this is a trend, and some more of the real insiders will come
back, but that's probably a pipe dream.

Bill CI've been surprised to see Carl popping up, and responding to really inane
stuff at that. Maybe he'll stick around. And don't forget Dr. Coggan. -

Bill CWell, I have to say, it's better than last year for sure. I wasn't
posting a lot then, and under a fake name when I did, but I probably
read more last year. And there was a LOT of garbage. Hence my troll
topic about Armstrong being the best ever, this year.Even the dumbass questions this year have been pretty good in
comparison. I was expecting someone to ask about the Mavic cars and
why they are there. A dumbass but good question for someone who
doesn't know.Take away Calistus and half of the Beltran/Helmet posts..... very
respectable considering the number of posts. The best indicator is how few times Chang has said 'dumbass' and 'head
up your ass'.D

this years Tour are startlingly Troll free... -

good conversations. Maybe we ought to give a special Dumbass Award for Good
Behavior to Henry. -
Anything we hear from Carl and Andy is a bonus. I'm really glad that
Ilan is so active these days. I miss Tosi's input on cycling, he really
had a good handle on the Italian scene.

without Lafferty vs Armstrong threads, the non-july post count will
decrease dramatically and we may even end up discussing really exciting
rbt like things like the optimal way to patch a tube. Its almost a
disastrous as if Kunich decided to retire. -
I promise to notify everyone at least a month before I retire.

That'll be the day; you own RBR. You really are the S.R. of RBR.
Like Rehnquist, you'll never let go!! ;-)

You're the genus Tom.Well, two or three weeks ago I rode up Mt. Tam in the fog. Last time I'll
ever do that. It rains under the Redwoods in the fog. Then the following weekend I rode over Mt. Diablo.
I rode up to the Sierra Century and did it and then rode back. Took 5 days
total. But it was fun.I seem to be getting along OK still so I won't be getting dropped anytime
soon unless someone decides to run me over. -

Ken, you have totally lost it. That southern CA smog has finally taken its
toll.
