  1. I'm somewhat new at low-carbing, but recently I have started this
really strange all-over itching. I've never been an allergy-prone or
itchy type person, and this diet is the only thing I've changed over
    the past couple of months.

The itching seems to be concentrated on my legs and feet. Anyone have
any similar experiences or ideas? This is the strangest thing!

Increase your water intake and have your kidney's checked...

    asap.

    Cheers!

My skin gets itchy when I'm losing weight. Not all the time, but typically
when I'm losing inches in a certain spot, that spot on my skin gets itchy.
The most common location for my itch: stomach area. I've lost 12 inches in
my waist, maybe that has something to do with it. 🙂

Do your shoes seem loser? Is there more leg room in your pants?

    That's just plain stupid.

  5. My Mother used to get it, especially on her feet, try epson salt and warm
water, she finally found that it was one of the three:

    1) Stress
    2) Allergy to food
    3) The sandals she was wearing

    Why?

When my mom's kidney's were failing, she had a lot of itching,
    especially on her legs.

One of my co-workers husband was on dialysis due to renal failure.
He had a terrible time with itching as the toxins in his body built up
    between sessions.

A high protein diet won't hurt healthy kidney's but if you have renal
insufficiency for any reason, the serum nitrogen levels can build up.
Itching may or may not be a symptom of kidney problems.

It can't hurt to check it out just to rule it out. ;-)

Could also be something as simple as a food sensitivity in which case,
selective eating can rule that out or confirm it.

Do YOU have any suggestions smart ass?
