  1. Just when I thought I would be back on the net checking how you are
cookin' and putting in my two pennies of thoughts, I have been inactive
    again.
My 89 y.o. mother died two weeks ago and I am interstate clearing her
affairs and estate. She was a wonderful, vibrant woman, articulate,
driving, living alone, cooking, witty, right to the last day. She
suffered a heart attack and told medics she wanted no intervention or
resusitation, that she loved her two girls and we knew her wishes. She
was priviledged to leave this life on her terms, one amazing lady. My
twin was with her at the end, I missed by an hour, but did get to speak
to her on the phone and I had just had a great week with her 5 days
    earlier.
Forgive me if this is too much information!
Will be another 3 weeks until I get back home and to checking you out
    regularly.
    Keep well,
    Cheers

Honey, you have plenty on your plate now. Don't fret over anything
like rfc. I'm sorry to hear your news, but it sounds like your mother
lived well. And it sounds like her life ended on her terms.

I am sorry that you lost someone so dear to you. It must be a great
consolation to the family, that your Mother chose to leave her loved
ones on her own terms and that she was lucid until the end.

I also know that the pain of this great loss is still with you and the
wound the death of a Mother leaves, will never heal completely.

My sympathy is with you and yours. Margaret

My heart is with you. My mom is slowly fading and it won't be long for her
either. My mum's warm, clean, cherished, and safe. Everything else is

    Dear Bronwyn,

I'm very sorry to hear of your loss, and you have my deepest sympathy. The
loss of one's mother is probably one of the greatest losses we every
experience, but you were fortunate to have her in your life for so long,
and know that she had a vital and productive life until she left on her own
terms. I know you will cherish every sweet memory.

My condolences, Bronwyn. How lovely that you had her for so long, though,
and I'm glad that things went the way she wished them to. Look forward to
seeing your posts again when you have the chance to return - but look after

  14. My sincere condolences, Bronwyn. Your mother sounds like a wonderful
person who made her peace and chose her own terms. I am sure she has passed
on those qualities to you and your twin.

    Take care.

Sounds like this went as well as these things can, but even in the
best of circumstances, I know it still hurts to lose one's Mom. My
best wishes for you and yours, Bronwyn...

  16. Thank you ALL of you for your warm and comforting words -- it really
makes this time easier to cope knowing someone cares.
One funny thought - my mother kept excellent health to the end apart
from a little hypertension. She reluctantly visited her doctor but
never said much about her health because she said the doctor was a busy
man.....had many more patients older and sicker than her for him to
attend to....and anyway... he would only specfiy tests which she would
    have little time for!!
She was an artist too, so I am enjoying looking at all her artworks,
oils, and watercolours as I clear her home. My twin and I will
definitely be keeping some of these before distributing the rest to
    family and friends.
Well, back to work, I only have two weeks to get this done!
    Cheers
    Bronwyn
