RJW (or similar TLA) are doing a sterling job for me and I think they do
a no-win, no-fee type deal. I was pointed in their direction by the CTC
and the bloke working on my behalf is the chap who writes the legal
column in one of the cycling mags.

Not that I've seen any actual money yet but, hey, I judge people by
whether they cycle commute or not🙂

CTC legal cover is good (count one, Clive), but if your household
insurance policy has legal cover they may well take it on. However -
press the police *hard* to charge with driving without due care.

Pretty much every bike shop I've been in recently had leaflets advertising
specialist cycle accident claim solicitor thingies. Never used 'em, but if
they specialise in a particular type of claim they'll be expert at it
and'll be more likely to know exactly how to screw the most out of the
insurance company.

The lady who dealt with me was called Alyson France, and the matter was
resolved without going to court on a no win, no fee type basis. Admittedly
I had the advantage that the driver was found guilty of without due care at
a magistrate's court, so he couldn't really argue a civil case, but the
company did well by me.

IIRC she is the Cycling Plus legal advisor solicitor person.
