It looked like a few of the riders were wondering the same thing!
-
He's just a guy who is lucky enough to be on the side of the tour route cheering for the best TdF rider ever... who happens to be from the Sovereign Nation of Texas. Or it may have been George W. Bush hopped up on crack...

I believe that's the OLN programming director.

I think that is just another great thing of watching the tour. You see some funny/crazy stuff.
What is the story behind that dresses like the devil?

Yes, the sound of the sawing of logs drifts peacefully from the sod huts of the AB Camp. Happy little campers?- that they are. Looking forward to their next meeting with the Aussie Wobblies in the Tri Nations in August. Meanwhile, back at the TdF...

He's a passionate cycling fan supporting his favorite rider, Lance, who is probably from Lances' home state, Texas!
IS THIS A DAMN PROBLEM?????? I have seen a lot of "goofy" fans roadside at the Tour......why is this a problem???
At least he's not like the "classy" German fans who threw beer and spit on LA at the Alp du Huez stage last year!
You all got issues..........
-
I do not believe that helmet is UCI approved!!!
-
Hey it's okay Ulle...he looks just as goofy to people from Texas as he does to you.
Hook'em! 😉

Limericks problem is he is still living in the past. He probably still rides lugged Reynolds 531, wears a Kas woolen jersey, and has probably ridden St.Patricks Hill in Cork pretending he is leading Kelly in the Nissan Tour at least a dozen times. All a person has to do is bring up the 1989 Worlds and Limerickman goes into a 3 day drunk at the local pub . Of course he will remind me that Lemond has never added a classic win to his resume.
The problem with many posters is that they haven't ever ridden a hand built Reynolds frame, has a closet full of lycra, and wonders why the hell would anyone ever want to "Ride up St. Patrick Hill in Cork anyway ?"
In my retiement years, I am going to cross the Alantic and look up Limerickman and argue in person as to why history has shown Armstrong to be the greatest rider ever. And oh yeah, I will still be riding my Reynolds 531 handbuilt at IIkston, wearing my woolies, and wondering why the #### limerick "never" buys a round.... -

Haven't cycled St Patricks Hill in Cork - because Cork is about 70 miles from where I live.1989 Worlds - well even Sean can't argue that result.
