Certainly, he has no reason to continue racing except EGO. He will retire
and stay in retirement.

From the tour. There are other palmares out there.

I believe he will. He'll still ride, no doubt, but he has kids, a new woman
and the LAF, other ventures to keep him busy.

Touring with Sheryl will probably take some time (they made a deal) and that
would be a great way for him to do some stumping for LAF and some speaking
tours--he'll surely be in demand for appearances.

He'll probably still hit some local events for fun. Maybe he'll have some
fun dropping in on some local club rides around the country...I don't think
he'll have any trouble hauling his wheels where ever he goes and getting out
to ride.

Nah, Discovery doesn't have that kind of money. The amount they could/would
pay is small compared to what he makes as a celeb sports figure.

Plus, they've got him hosting a show in the not so distant future which is
another way to cash in on his celebrity.

A sports physician friend of mine said that 5 to 7 years is the prescribed
maximum use of steroids for athletes because of the long-term affects. He
also said, if he were Lance's physician, he would advise him to either stop
using steroids and continue competing on a lower level, or to stop entirely.

Discovery is owned by Disney- c'mon, "they don't have the money ?"-
Keeeee-rist !!!! they could do a Lance Armstong ride at Disney. A major
motion picture ( which I recall is actually in the works ). Lance doesn't
need the money, but he might want the passion to greet the challenge of TdF
again.

A story this week in the LA Times showed Lance Armstrong as one of the
top earning sports figures (the story was about Kobe Bryant getting
another ad for Nike - I guess his negative image is now cleansed).

The story showed a short chart of people, their endorsement income, and
their total income. Armstrong's numbers were $17.5 million and $18
million, respectively, indicating that he rides almost for free. One
could guess he rides just to get the endorsements.

If these figures are accurate, it seems unlikely that Discovery could
offer him enough to get him to ride, unless he decides he needs to keep
the endorsement money coming....

Actually this physician has a great deal of experience providing training
and medical advice to athletes. He was actually a researcher at the ASMI.

Not that there is anything wrong with being gay, it just seems that "[censored]"
comes out of gay people's mouths more often than hetrosexuals.

Where's the proof - any proof - of the accusation you are making here?
Lance has been tested backwards, forwards, sideways and upside-down
for drugs and has always came out clean.
