Coke Zero is sweetened with a mix of Aspartame and Acesulfame K.

Diet Coke with Splenda... has obviously Splenda.

Diet Coke (the original)... has Aspartame.

Something artificial for everybody.

Look for Diet Coke Stevia soon.

Not much of a challenge there, just read the label.
Folks should read labels even when not on a fat
loss program.

Diet Coke is the regular one with Aspartame. It
has the usual warning about phenylalinine on the
label. It was originally formulated to compete
with Pepsi according to a book that I read years
ago on the history of the Coca Cola company.

Diet Coke with Splenda is the one with the Splenda
logo on the label. It lists sucralose/splenda on

The ZERO is fantastic, isnt it? No, it isnt the one made with Splenda.
The NEW DIET COKE says on the carton, "Splenda" in the Splenda logo. Be
careful to make sure you SEE the Splenda logo or you might be buying the
OLD DIET COKE. They're still selling it---gatting rid of the last of
it, I guess.

I havent bought the NEW DC yet, LOL...the ZERO is so good, I dont figure
the NEW DC can possibly be better. If you try the NEW DC and like it
better than the ZERO, let me know, ok?

Yep. We bought some of each (Coke Zero and Diet Coke with Splenda). Diet
Coke with Splenda tastes fairly close to normal Diet Coke, that is, like
sewer water.

Coke Zero tastes very close to the old sugared Classic Coke. In fact,
when I had my first sip, that's exactly what I told my wife "This tastes
like real Coke!". It would be great if Coke Zero was the one with
Splenda, since I prefer that as a sweetner. Not sure if their choice of
sweetners was dictated by taste, or other reasons. I only have one glass
a day (max) at lunch, since I'm very sensitive to caffeine now, and find
that any more, or having it any later in the day, keeps me up at night.

I used to drink much of my water in the form of soda, sometimes 2 or 3
liters a day. I've switched to mostly drinking water, with one or two
glasses of soda a day. Not for health reasons, mostly for saving money.
Soda isn't cheap.

I agree. I like Splenda, loathe toathe old Diet Coke and love the new
Zero. Like you, my first thought was, Hey! this is the Real Thing...

Im glad I bought more Zero today, LOL...I considered picking up the new
DC, then figured, why get off a winning horse?

Now if they would only make it caffeine free.

For now I'm sticking with Diet Rite.

I think they learned their lesson with 'new coke,' they will keep the old
diet coke and whichever one of the new ones gets the better market share.

My guess is that the caffeine is part of the taste, and they can't
remove it without altering the taste. I too like Diet Rite. It was great
when it came out and was 99 cents a bottle, now it's up to $1.50. If you
can find the Adirondack brand, they also use sucralose, and are $1.09 in
this neck of the woods (they also used to be 99 cents). Still cheaper
than the name brands. And they have a lot of additional flavors as well
(I don't like their cola, FWIW).

In LA you can find it routinely for .89 or .99 a 2 liter.
