walking on the corridor route after walking up scafell pike late afternoon
on saturday 9th july, a sea king flew round the front of great gable then a
smoke flare appeared from the crags,the chopper hovered for a while then
kept flying round in circles until it hovered above the crag again.
anyone know if it was an actual rescue or an exercise? hopefully an
exercise.
the beasties were out in force on the summit of scafell pike,no wind at all.
we met a 69 year old aussie at esk hause on route to scafell pike,he then
left us for dead powering up into calf cove.hope im still as fit then!
