Er, anyway, for trials, get a 20"... and John makes a good point, you
already have a 24"... unless you buy something with a splined axle
expect that to need replaced after a little.

Yes, If you already have a 24" you should get a 20" and have both.

20" is better and more manuverable for trials. Get the DX and it will be
a HUGE upgrade from the LX and the cheap junker you have now. Everything
about the DX is better than the LX. Although the LX isnt too bad either.

I had a torker LX, and broke it within a week of starting trials stuff
(only a 2.5' drop, but the cranks just kind of folded). Now I have a DX,
and I love it. The 2.3 inch tire is a HUGE upgrade for trials stuff.

I got the 24" because I use it to ride to work every day, but if I was
just going to be doing trials and a little street riding, I'd definitely
get the 20".

Dont get a LX get a DX the DX has splined hub and will last a lifetime
longer than a LX wil.

i have a 22" (rare!) and a 24 an i like the 24 for muni and speed, but i
like th 20/22 for tricks and regular riding/showing off.

The bigger the wheel, the more of a "vehicle" the unicycle becomes. It
can take you from one place to another, whether along the road, around
the park or through the woods.

The smaller the wheel, the lighter and stronger the uni is, and the
easier it becomes to do clever technical stuf, whether that is
freestyle or hopping jumping up an down on the municipal flower beds.

The difference in wheel size between 20 and 24 is not "only 4 inches",
it is 20%. That is, a 24 is a fifth bigger. That's a fifth heavier, a
fifth more leverage back through the cranks, a fifth more wheel to turn
in tight corners.

The difference between a 20 and a 24 is bigger than the difference
between a 24 and a 26, or a 26 and a 28 - or even a 24 and a 28.

If you want to "go places", consider a 26, 28 or 29.

If you want to do clever stuff in one place, get a 19 or 20.

Because you want to do trials, I would get a 20" uni. However, I
wouldn't trust a LX for drops. Go for something like a DX. I got mine
on ebay and really enjoy it.

and get the 07 so you don't break it, if you are getting advice from
this thread

and get a 20" for trials and street
and a 24 for muni
and keep the LX for freestyle.. its a good uni for that

I prefur a 24" for trials. You can run a 3.0 tire, and it has more air
volume than a 20" so the bounce is crazy. I run a dyno fireball, very
sweet tire, tons of bounce. Its also faster so your roll hops are
farther. You can also use it for muni. Its the best multi-purpose uni.
