And you have yet to provide us with a definition of "skinny fat", or any
evidence that it is the problem you suggest it is.
In an earlier post, you stated:
"One can have a BMI of 22.8 and still carry fat. IOW, the person could be
skinny fat and not lean. This happens quite often with people who diet down
but don't exercise, and also with people who don't get enough protein."
When you say "still carry fat" - are you unaware that we all "carry fat"?
Even the "leanest" amongst us.
But, perhaps you meant that they carry "too much fat". In that case, could
you define what "too much fat" is, in terms of body fat percentages?
As for this happening "quite often" - can you cite any studies as to how
often this "problem" occurs? Surely if there are a lot of people with
BMI's<23 who are carrying around an unhealthy level of body fat, that would
have been noted in a few studies in the literature.

Is this a comprehension issue, or are you being purposely obtuse?
Partly it's because I don't believe the "skinny fat" problem you describe is
a real problem (other than in your own mind).
Partly it's just for sport, because you're such a [censored].

Saffire and Cubit both post to this newsgroup.
I do, but I don't know their height, weight, or body fat status. You
originally claimed that there were a lot of people with BMI around 22.8
who
are "skinny fat"...yet you appear unable to provide data to back up your
claims.
Perhaps it would help if you provided us with an objective definition

So far, the only person who's posted height, weight, and body fat is
Lynne.
Her numbers show a healthy BMI and a healthy body fat percentage.
However,
she is dissatisified with herself and wants to be "ripped". This is
admirable, but if that is typical of "skinny fat" it indicates the
"problem"
you describe is more psychological than physical.
And you've still not provided any links to obesity/health research
documenting this specious "problem". I strongly suspect it's because
