I was thinking about something...
what is the furthest distance hat you have swam nonstop? Was it in a pool,
or a lake/ocean/river?
Me, in a pool i loose count after about 1 km. I have done 1 km in a lake.
Thanks,
Micheal

While training for the Canoe Creek
triathlon, I swam 3000 yards in about
57 minutes. 57 seconds per fifty
seems so slow now, but I was happy
to have slogged through it.
I once (30+ years ago) did 12.5k in under 4 hours
It was 500 lengths of a 25m pool - dead easy, I thought at the time.
All I had to do, was to average 125 lengths per hour
But the third hour, I thought I was dying - only managed 121 lengths
Fortunately I had averaged 128 lengths per hour for the first two
and I got it together again in the fourth hour
Good luck,
Joskin

Distance swimming -
Pool - 25 km
Lake - 10 km
Ocean - 15 km
I will swim 40 km on August 22nd and 23rd, since I will be swimming from
Catalina Island to the California coast.

10,000yds in 1.45's for every 100. This is an annual El Paso swim
event. Either on Dec 31st or Jan 1st. It started in 94 with 9,400 yds.
100 yds get added every year. This year end will be 10,600. I haven't
done it since 2000. I'll try this year.

Nonstop? Not very far... maybe 800 yards on a lake, or the 500 in a
pool.
2k so far (crawl). I'm going to have a go at 3k later this week. I couldn't
do more than 2 lengths of crawl 6 months ago though!
