No, it isn't just you. This is marketing and Roll is there to appeal to a
special segment. You will see them post here with comments about how great
they think he is. What I notice is that his fans always start their post
off with something like "Dude -- Bob Roll rulz!"

I do find him somewhat entertaining, don't get me wrong. But he's just
too much. I was just talking to a friend about this, and perhaps a 90
or 120 second summary (okay, give him a full 3 mins ;-) to do "his
thing", and I would find that goofy, nifty, neato, fun. But having him
go on and on and on is overkill.

Kinda like with my 8 year old at home. Okay, it was funny. Now, you
need to know when enough is enough....

Bob seems to be taking too far, he doesn't have anything as a second act.

I'm said to say he has over stayed his welcome.

I for one am getting sick of the Jan bashing. (Sherwen did it too.) The
comical German accents, the self-loathing, the blatant mockery. Jan is a
classy guy and serious competitor for all his faults and various
failures to win.

I have to agree... he's rather annoying... he's been pulling out the
same old [censored] everytime... it maybe could be funny if he interjected
his stupid comments into genuine info.. but although he knows his
stuff... it's mainly the silliness that prevails...

Some folks find him entertaining. He doesn't bother me, but I wouldn't miss
him if he didn't come back next year.
