Hello, my name is Ralph, and I am 18 years old in August. My dad gave me his old Bianchi bike, and he got a lighter Trek. I am new here, and am getting into the sport. I hope it is exciting, sounds like it. Glad to be here.

Your Dads Trek can't be to much lighter than that bike.I am a Junior Racer (age 15) on the John Deere Junior Development Team (which is sponsored by John Deere.
My main advice is to take it slow, the speed will come but you've got to work hard and stay focused. Also, try to join a local cycling club. That's how I started.

Yeah, as I get better, I will be able to ride faster and longer. I am looking for a group, sounds nice.
