Google just released thier 3D earth viewer, it is at earth.google.com,
I havn't loaded it up yet. It is basically keyhole 3 cause google
bought keyhole.

Google is also giving away subscriptions to use thier API for address
lookup and terrain annotating and stuff.

Try installing Google Earth- it's the free Google version of Keyhole, which
they acquired. Currently some of the photos are on the old side. Hopefully
they'll be updated more in the future.

Good site, a lot of different sources-but it appears you have to purchase
the image to zoom in to the house level. With Google Earth, I can see my
truck- from 3 years ago, at least.

It'll be really cool if we're ever able to watch in even greater detail
(perhaps even be able to "walk" down any given street) live images.

I can imagine spending my day in Manhattan while sitting here in South
Carolina.

You can. That is what I do for work. Unfortunatly, just because it is
"cool" dosn't mean there is a market for it. Can you see yourself
paying to walk down manhatten while sitting in SC? Now If I could
invent a holodeck and sell virtual vacations, that might work.

I had an argument in another online forum about the possibility of
using this data to coordinate a terrorist attack. Actually, the real
debate centered around google's 3-d offerings. My contention was that
having a 3-d map that used accurate scale images was just too much
information. I remain surprised that the government is, seemingly,
doing nothing to restrict this info.
